Alliance for Digital Equality hosts Chicago Digital Empowerment Council

The Alliance for Digital Equality launches its Chicago-based initiative on February 4 with a forum on the impact of affordable broadband deployment on the Chicago region. The forum will focus on how broadband creates jobs and enables improvements in jobs, public health, public safety, urban and economic development, and education. Speakers include ADE Chairman Julius H. Hollis; Senator Rodney Ellis of Texas; William "Bill" Lamar, former SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for McDonald's USA; Dr. Earlexia Montoya Norwood, M.D., Henry Ford Medical Center-Troy, Michigan; William "Bill" Diggs, President & CEO of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce; and ADE Executive Director, BMaynard Scarborough.

The presentation will kick off with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at Northern Trust Bank Headquarters, 50 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL on Wednesday, February 4th.
