AT&T out-builds Google on fiber deployment
AT&T is out-building Google in fiber infrastructure deployment across the country. As the Washington Post explains, AT&T overtakes the Internet company with its many years of infrastructure-building experience. Take Austin, Texas as an example: AT&T and Google announced their intentions to bring their fiber networks to the city within days of each other, and yet AT&T beat Google to the market by about two years.
