AT&T upgrades network to 5G Evolution in 117 markets

AT&T announced that it has upgraded 117 markets with 5G Evolution services. The carrier upgraded its 4G network in parts of these markets to improve performance in preparation for next-generation 5G service, bringing the total number of 5G Evolution markets to 141. The company intends to bring 5G Evolution upgrades to 500 markets by the end of 2018. These upgrades are in addition to AT&T’s promised launch of a new 5G network in 12 markets by the end of this year.
