As Windstream declares bankruptcy, CWA works to protect members and retirees

Windstream has filed for bankruptcy after the hedge fund Aurelius Capital Management won a $310 million judgment against the company. Windstream is an ISP serving over a million customers, mostly in rural areas. CWA has announced its plan to take an active part in the Windstream bankruptcy process. CWA is assessing the details as they emerge and has retained an experienced law firm to help protect the interests of its members and retirees. CWA represents approximately 1,200 active members at Windstream locations throughout the United States.
