AT&T launches gigabit network in Miami, Fort Lauderdale

AT&T is bringing U-verse with AT&T GigaPower to parts of Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, Hialeah, Hollywood, and Miami. GigaPower delivers “ultra-fast Internet access,” supporting speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second, the fastest speed currently available to residents in these areas.

This is the latest in a series of gigabit expansions. AT&T first launched GigaPower in Austin, brought the network to the Chicago suburbs in 2015, and plans to continue expanding in North Carolina, Missouri, and other parts of Texas.

Speed Matters applauds this expansion and supports efforts to increase Internet speeds and capacity networks.
