Google Fiber moves into Nashville

In February, 2014 Google Fiber announced that it would be bringing 1 Gbps Internet to some additional 33 cities. Recently, the company applied for a franchise to the Nashville, Tennessee metro area and nearby Davidson County – with plans to begin work as soon as possible.

A Google spokeswoman told The Tennessean that “There’s still a lot of work to do beyond this agreement, but we hope to provide an update about whether we can bring Fiber to Nashville by the end of the year.”
