Verizon expands FiOS service in Boston
Verizon is expanding its Boston FiOS build to two additional neighborhoods in Boston. The Jamaica Plain and Hyde Park neighborhoods can now sign-up for the fiber-optic service. Verizon announced last year that it was building out FiOS service to Boston after years of refusing to bring the fiber service to new cities. The build began in Dorchester, West Roxbury, and Dudley Square neighborhoods.
Verizon’s fiber build in Boston is integrated with its next-generation 5G/small cell wireless deployment, though there’s no word yet on when or if Verizon will build FiOS to the other East Coast cities.
