Comcast enters wireless market with Xfinity Mobile
Comcast is entering the wireless market with Xfinity Mobile, a $45-$65 per month service that will rely on Verizon Wireless’s network. The service, which will be available to Comcast customers who already subscribe to home Internet service, will connect to Xfinity wi-fi hotspots where they are available and connect to Verizon’s wireless network where they are not. While Comcast doesn’t advertise its relationship with Verizon Wireless, choosing instead to call it the “most reliable 4G LTE network,” market analysts are calling the wireless company the big winner of the announcement.
