Study: More than half of US broadband households would upgrade to gigabit speeds, if offered

More than half of US broadband households would upgrade their current service to gigabit speeds, if offered, according to a study from Parks Associates, a technology research firm, with one in three respondents (34 percent) “very likely to upgrade.” The study reiterates what we already know: speed matters, and consumers want service providers to build out the next generation of high-speed broadband networks.
