What would you ask presidential candidates about closing the digital divide?

Nearly 40 public interest groups, including the Communications Workers of America, sent aletter to the moderators of the four upcoming presidential debates. The letter urges the moderators to ask the candidates about access to high-speed Internet.

The letter proposes the following question:

More than 34 million Americans still lack access to modern high-speed service, and nearly a third of the country does not have high-speed broadband connections to their homes. Incredibly, nearly 60 percent of families earning less than $20,000 per year lack home access. If you are elected president, what will you do to ensure that all Americans have affordable access to this vital tool?

Like us on Facebook if you like the question. If not, what would you ask the presidential hopefuls about the digital divide?
