CenturyLink to pay $9 million to settle overbilling allegations in MN

CenturyLink will pay $9 million to settle overbilling allegations in Minnesota, including refunds of $844,000 to more than 12,000 customers. “CenturyLink broke the law by fraudulently overbilling hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans and illegally raising the price Minnesotans had to pay for the company's service,” said Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. The Minnesota settlement follows CenturyLink’s $4 million settlement in Oregon and $6 million settlement in Washington last month. Both the Oregon and Washington settlements involved the same overbilling allegations.
