Speak Up About High Speed Internet
The Speed Matters campaign isn't just about educating people on the importance of high speed internet. It's also about urging our elected leaders to take action on this crucial issue, so that one day all Americans will enjoy the benefits of the digital age.
To help reach that goal, we have a simple tool to let you write to your members of Congress. But in order to help you send as powerful a message as possible, we've also created a tool that lets you record a voice message for your representatives. Try it out, and make sure your voice is heard.
We've already received many passionate messages. Jens Rasmussen from Brooklyn, NY, called it "a shame and an embarrassment" that the United States has fallen so far behind the rest of the world in high speed internet access. Listen to his full remarks:
Another Speed Matters supporter, Harry Brown from Port Huron, Michigan, called in to tell his members of Congress that he's watching their positions on high speed internet access very closely. Harry has an especially good reason to support this issue – he's blind and needs high speed internet to load and listen to audio files online:
Add your voice to Jens' and Harry's, and let Congress know that they must make universal high speed internet access a top priority.
