Want proof that speed matters to the American people? Take a look at the results of our nationwide survey of American voters' attitudes on high speed Internet.

While only about half the country has access to high speed connections, our survey shows that the overwhelming majority considers high speed Internet important for all kinds of activities, from education to health care to business to jobs. That's why more than three-quarters of those polled support efforts to build out high speed Internet infrastructure and expand access.

Because of this strong grassroots support for universal high speed Internet access, our political leaders are taking notice of this crucial issue. Legislation to create detailed nationwide maps of high speed Internet coverage is moving along in Congress with bi-partisan support.
