CenturyLink to pay $11 million to settle overbilling allegations in Arizona
CenturyLink will pay $11 million to settle overbilling allegations by the Arizona Attorney General. This includes a $7 million fine, $1.9 refund to customers, and $2 million fiber infrastructure improvement that the attorney general deems necessary. “This settlement holds CenturyLink accountable to customers and will provide significant technological infrastructure investment for the state,” said Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.
The Arizona settlement follows CenturyLink’s $9 million settlement in Minnesota, $4 million settlement in Oregon, and $6 million settlement in Washington -- all of which involved overbilling allegations.
